200 Hour
YOGA STUDY & TEACHER TRAINING
NOVEMBER 2026 - MAY 2027
Grounded in yoga as a tool for personal and collective liberation, this training is an immersive exploration into practice, philosophy, anatomy, energetics, and ethics — with real, accessible tools to bring yoga into everyday life. Whether you're an aspiring teacher or a dedicated student, you'll gain greater self-awareness, a richer understanding of yoga as an embodied practice, and the skills to teach vinyasa safely, inclusively, and with confidence.
Because yoga isn't about taking complicated shapes. It's about how we show up when we're in them.
Our training offers both flexibility and consistency — the two things embodiment (not just understanding)requires. One weekend a month, plus a few Wednesday evenings. Join us in-person or on Zoom, and learn from a variety of facilitators, each bringing their own expertise to the experience.
Deepen your practice, discover the many gifts yoga has to offer, and step in to your power today!

Testimonials
“PALM + PINE offered above and beyond what I expected out of a YTT program. Every session was thoughtfully planned out. The variety of teachers was appreciated and I feel deeply entrenched and prepared after the training”
— AUDRA, 2026 Graduate“What I didn’t expect was how deeply this program would change the way I live. It was so much more than memorizing sequences or learning alignment it was a full-body, full-heart experience that wove yoga into every part of my day-to-day life. This program offered structure, intention, and support in ways I didn’t know I needed. “
— holly, 2025 graduate“There was a strong emphasis on self-awareness and reflection throughout the training, and I experienced real personal transformation alongside the technical skills…I’m so grateful to have trained with a local business that leads with such integrity, purpose, and care. Highly recommend to anyone ready to deepen their practice and step into the role of teacher.”
— JESS, 2025 graduate

PALM + PINE’s 200hr YTT offers a well-rounded and immersive training experience through lecture, discussion, reading, practice, and experiential learning. This program is designed to both support and challenge you, meeting a range of learning styles while guiding you deeper into the practice.
Our intention is not only that you can skillfully lead a vinyasa class, but that you do so from a place of authenticity and embodiment. We emphasize clear and accessible cueing, inclusive language, and thoughtful variations for movement health and accessibility.
Rooted in tradition and responsive to the present, this training weaves together philosophy, anatomy, functional movement, community service, and personal development. You will gain a grounded understanding of yoga’s origins while exploring how these teachings can be applied in a modern and evolving context.
Since 2017, PALM + PINE has led teacher trainings every year. Our facilitators offer depth of experience, care, and intention to every aspect of the training, creating a space for meaningful learning, growth, and connection.

Leads Facilitators:
Kat Soper (she/her), E-RYT 500, after several years of teaching in the midwest and west coast, she landed in La Crosse in 2016 and opened PALM + PINE in 2017 with the simple intent to foster connection + growth through yoga. For Kat, yoga started as a way to calm anxious thoughts and manage an auto-immune condition. Almost two decades later, she passionately believes yoga is a brave and essential practice of belonging, to ourselves and one another. Kat weaves down-to-earth philosophy, embodiment, and curiosity into every practice. Expect to feel both challenged and support in her yoga classes, with options to take or leave anything that comes along. This will be her 10th year leading the PALM + PINE 200hr YTT.
Kayleigh Day (She/her), RYT 500, took her first yoga class in college originally out of curiosity, but soon noticed the impact it had on her overall mental health, stress, and anxiety. Kayleigh utilizes her personal yoga practice as a tool for healing, self-exploration and creating a more just world. She strives to facilitate a practice that is accessible and empowers students to tune into their own inner wisdom. A constantly curious yogi and lifelong learner, you can find Kayleigh exploring yoga philosophy, health, social justice, mindfulness, cooking and traveling every chance she gets.
Guest Facilitators: Jenna Carns, Tanya Boigenzahn, Asavari Manvikar, Sara Docan-Morgan, Jes Rosenberg, Dr. Jill O’Brien, and Cailee Hoerter.
